Alumna of The First Tee of Benton Harbor Selected To Attend National Leadership Summit in Orlando

Courtney Rooker, alumna from The First Tee of Benton Harbor has been selected to attend The First Tee Alumni Summit at Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, November 10–12. The inaugural summit is a professional development opportunity where alumni can advance their career-building skills while reconnecting with fellow alumni and chapter leaders across The First Tee Network.

Throughout the event, alumni will hear from business leaders on topics such as situational leadership, business communication, professional branding, financial literacy, and self-care. They will also have the opportunity to serve as a mentor to current participants of The First Tee attending the Outstanding Participant & Leadership Summit.

Courtney is currently a junior at Butler University. Rooker was active with The First Tee of Benton Harbor for 7 years. She participated in The First Tee Life Skills and Leadership Academy in 2015 and is currently the Parent’s Chair and on the Risk Committee for Alphi Chi Omega Fraternity at Butler University. Rooker is also an Honors Mentor, Violin Instructor and an active member of the Butler Symphony Orchestra.

Alumna Courtney Rooker is one of 12 participants selected to attend the national summit based on her leadership roles in the community, essay responses and letters of recommendation.

The summit will be held in conjunction with The First Tee Network Meeting, a biennial conference with more than 800 chapter representatives of The First Tee.
