The First Tee of Benton Harbor Awarded Community Transformation Award

We spent the week of November 6-11, 2017 in Orlando, Florida with 900 other The First Tee staff around the world. This marked the 20th anniversary of The First Tee and the passing of the torch from CEO Joe Louis Barrow Jr. to Keith Dawkins. We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of a world-changing network and can’t wait to see where Keith Dawkins’ leadership takes us. Over 10 million youth have been impacted by The First Tee.

In summary, it was a great week for The First Tee of Benton Harbor. We are honored to have been awarded the James W. McGlothin Community Transformation Award! Additionally, our own Ryan Burns & Jim Campbell were recognized for The First Tee Coach Award (one of the highest coaching achievements possible in The First Tee Network)!

We are excited to implement some new ideas we learned throughout the week and will continue to strive to fulfill our mission to positively impact the lives of our local youth by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote future potential through the game of golf.
